Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University by 22 dynamic women. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority centers its programming efforts around its Five-Point Thrust:

Delta Sigma Theta's objective from the start has been "To establish and maintain
a high standard of morality and scholarship among women." Since it's founding, Delta has become one of the largest Black Women's organizations in the world with a membership of over 200,000 and chapters in Africa, Japan, West Germany and Korea to name a few.
